COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTES
----------------------------------

Highest level of education attained is computed for those who are currently attending school using v_221 by degrading their current level of education by one level. While for those who are not currently attending school, PEDUC is computed directly using v_228.

For those who are enrolled in basic education and currently attending in grades 7 to 9, the highest educational level is assumed to be primary while for those currently attending in grades 1 to 6, the highest educational level is recoded "none".

Those who are currently attending a professional secondary level were assumed to have completed a "professional below secondary" education.
Similarly, those who are currently attending a post professional secondary level were assumed to have completed a "professional secondary" education.

Those currently enrolled in one of the Tunisian Agency for Employment programs for the professional life preparation or continued formation were coded 999 "Not stated". Since, their original level of education attained being secondary, post secondary or higher education, is not identified.

Those who did not complete any education level in v_223 however reported to have succeeded to complete a certain number of education years were assumed to be able to read and write.
