GENERAL NOTES

All food expenditures include also own grown products expenses and gifts/in-kind received food. Expenses on take away food and meals taken in restaurants are included under code 11

COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTES
----------------------------------
All consumption amounts were provided in USD.
For food items, amounts provided in the original data are for imputed and collected Consumption in current USD (7 days), while for non food items amounts provided indicate the total imputed and collected Purchase value in current USD (7 days).
Rental amounts provided (in the household data file) in Somali shillings and Somaliland shillings were used and converted to USD.
Weekly and monthly amounts were annualized by multiplying them by 52 and 12, respectively.
Following the case of other harmonized surveys, the price of durable goods (in USD) purchased during the survey year were added to the food and non-food amounts consumed/purchased during 2016.

The technical notes document disseminated with the survey materials includes a detailed description of the consumption/expenditure aggregates, in addition to all cleaning procedures run on this part.
