GENERAL NOTES

This variable indicates the code of the country of birth for immigrant individuals, while it indicates the code of the region/governorate of birth for individuals born in the survey country.
COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTES
----------------------------------
Only the governorates of Egypt were labeled in the birth place variable. All other countries are recoded 995 and labeled "abroad".
